QQ Publishing, which produced Queen's Quarterly, gives us a vintage gay male picture gallery magazine.
This issue separates the pictures into "body types," (not just physical, but often tied into fetish gear), showing the range of gay sensibility during this period and also the growing emphasis on gay "macho" types. What's interesting is that these guys are not overly pumped up; the musculature is more natural, more organic, part of the complete package.
The issue is divided into these sections: The Body Trim; The Body Muscular; The Body Lean; The Body Handsome; The Body Macho; The Body Western; The Body Rugged; The Body Athletic; The Body Neat; and The Body Gallery. The Body Neat is Fred Orlando from Athletic Model Guild. Now that's one naturally macho stud, and he poses the part to perfection. Man, he looks like rough trade ...
Other highlights: Danny Levitt boasts a thick cock. Skinny black stud Norman is very, very well-endowed. Robert Hathaway is indeed The Body Macho, kind of an Al Parker type.
More black models appear (a nice strong one, showing only the ass, is on the back cover). Athletic Model Guild contributes several of the models, not the best-looking or even well-endowed ones in the magazine, perhaps showing the decline in this period of Bob Mizer's physique empire.
The Body of the Month, or centerfold, is Trent Hamilton, and he is cute, but not conventionally "hot." His physique is lean, not muscular, and his endowment is mediocre by later gay porn standards.
The pull-out personal ads section is missing from this copy.
Some pages in the middle separated from the spine, but otherwise copy is in fair to good condition.
