Hand In Hand Films Hand-In-Hand Films dominated the male movie market throughout the 1970's at a time when gay films meant going to the gay movie theater. Hand-In-Hand Films was also an organization without precedence. Headed by the late Jack Deveau (he died on December 2, 1982 after a long bout with cancer), himself a terrific director, the studio employed such pioneering talents as Tom DeSimone and Peter de Rome to make some of the most intelligent and truly erotic gay movies ever. Deveau was the first person to make and distribute gay erotica and provide a distributing market for gay films. Deveau was also a major influence on the gay movement and sexual revolution, not to mention a trend-setter in making erotic gay film an art.
These films clearly represent a high-water mark in the genre. The sophisticated blending of story and sex outclasses much of what is made today.
BIJOU VIDEO feels confident in recommending Hand-In-Hand films to anyone looking for first rate male erotica and state-of-the-art classics with raw passion, but most especially to collectors. |
